[pronounced bibleeoh sheek]

Biblio chic, what is it? A random set of words I came up with one day, when searching for a name for my new blog. To me, it’s a way of life that is centered on a love for reading, books, and literacy. It’s geek chic and nerd chic, done better. This isn’t a blog about fashion, it’s a blog about books. It’s a blog about my experiences in library school, and my hopes and dreams about becoming a librarian.

Join me as I discuss a wide variety of books and other issues related to literacy. I’ll talk about my experiences as a student of library and information science. I’ll lead you through my job hunt as I look for employment in a library. But most of all, I’ll try to have fun and introduce you to great authors and awesome titles.

My main focus will be teen literature, since that’s mainly what I read, and where I hope to work someday, but I also read a lot of popular adult fiction, classics, and science fiction and fantasy.

Please contact me with any questions at melissa@bibliochic.com and I’d be glad to chat with you!
